Is my PS Vita worth money?
Production of the PS Vita ended in 2019, and working consoles are wanted. It needs Sony's own memory cards; a card included adds real value.
Which PS Vita do you have?
| Model | Years | How to tell |
|---|---|---|
| PCH-1000 series | 2012 | OLED screen; its own charging port. A 3G version exists. |
| PCH-2000 series (slim) | 2014 in North America | Lighter, LCD screen, micro USB charging, 1 GB inside. |
The model number starts with PCH and is on the label of the console. Without it: a micro USB port at the bottom means a PCH-2000.

Red flags
- A swollen battery lifting the back.
- A console still signed in to someone else's PlayStation account.
- No memory card, and no charger for the PCH-1000's own port.
Good to know about the PS Vita
- Memory cards for the PS Vita were made by Sony from 4 to 64 GB. Standard SD cards do not fit.
- The PCH-2000 has 1 GB of memory inside; the PCH-1000 needs a memory card for most uses.
- Production ended on March 1, 2019. In 2021 Sony announced the PS Vita store would close, then reversed that decision.
- A PS Vita TV (VTE-1000) also exists: a small box that plays Vita games on a TV, with no screen of its own.
