Are old Nintendo games worth money?

Old cartridges from NES, Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64 are collected; complete boxed games sell best. Loose common sports games usually sell for a few dollars.

What to look for

Check what applies to yours:

• Complete in box: the game, the box and the manual together.
• Sealed games, especially graded ones.
• Less common titles; very popular titles were made in huge numbers.

Before you sell

• Compare with items that actually sold, not only with asking prices.
• Take clear photos in daylight: front, back, marks and any damage.
• Do not clean coins, and do not repaint or polish old items: it often lowers the value.
• For anything that might be valuable, get an opinion from a certified appraiser or a specialist dealer.
