Is my TAG Heuer real or fake?
Look at the engravings, the bezel and the dial printing first: they are where copies cut corners. Many TAG Heuer watches sell under $2,000, so on eBay add the $80 check below that price.

Red flags
- A price far below every similar listing.
- "Replica", "inspired by", "style" or "dupe" anywhere in the listing.
- Stock photos, or no close photo of the stamps, tags and serial.
- A seller who asks you to pay outside eBay, which removes eBay's protection and its authentication.
- Subdials or a function the model does not have.
The safe way to buy one
- A listing priced $2,000 or more: eBay's authenticator checks it before you receive it.
- Between $500 and $1,999.99: add the $80 Authenticity Guarantee at checkout.
- Box, papers and service records with the same serial as the watch.

These checks help you spot a crude fake. They do not prove a watch is real: we do not authenticate anything, and we are not affiliated with TAG Heuer or any other brand.
